The 11th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, which doubles as the 8th National Special Olympics Games, is set to officially open on October 22 in northwest China's Shaanxi Province. It is the first time the two games will be held in the same city as the National Games of China in the same year. During the three-week-long transition period, venues that just held the National Games competitions is changing into more accessible and convenient for disabled athletes and spectators.
